These buildings are part of the opening and consolidation of a new urban axis within the current polygon of the university.
The Building of Epidemiology is the first in a series of works to be developed under the same formal matrix, constructive and typological but with different uses and programs. The Laboratory Building is the second in the series to be completed in the future with the construction of the Building of Dormis.
Inside each building, the various subprograms are placed in blocks arranged around a central courtyard. The buildings are related to the patio through a glazed circulation space.
The definition and characteristics of the subspaces is free and varied, and can be open or closed, covered or semi-covered, glazed or opaque.
In the outer perimeter, perimeter walls and stone walls meet diverse functions such as supporting, light control, privacy level, etc.
Last but not least, it provides homogeneity of language between the sides of each building and between the “series” of buildings.
